Hype is a funny thing. Usually when I hear everywhere "Dude this shit is 🔥" or even the dreaded and oft-used "AOTY!!" bullshit, I roll my eyes. And I rolled my eyes last year on the hype train for Carnosus. But again, for every thousandth breathless fanboy review I've seen, sometimes the album exceeds the expectation. So I will confidently tell you that, yes, "This shit is 🔥" as I wait for Willowtip to release that sweet Green Ghostly vinyl variant domestically 🤣 Finally a win for my wallet!

Like an ever-so-slightly blackened version of Osmose-era Dark Tranquillity. It always pulls back from the (what some might call) 'shrill' BM sound, merely using the melodious aspects of BM to enhance their '90s melodeath sound. Recommended!
